Friday was my day to speak to the kids at the school. They wanted to talk about movies and movie stars. They are fascinated with American pop culture. Not necessarily a good thing. I love visiting with them. Friday evenings are for the Railway Club at the Manse. They are building a model railway in the attic of our house. It really is fascinating to see it come together.
Oh yeah. Thursday we drove over to a little village called Sawrey. There we visited the home of the creator of the Peter Rabbit stories, Beatrix Potter. She bought the Hilltop house in 1905. The house was built in 1600 something. Miss Potter was responsible for conserving much of what is now the Lakes District National Park. Our grand daughters love her stories. There are some pictures on this sight.
