We had a good day at church on Sunday. The worship line up here is mostly like what we do at home, with a few things added. The church here starts the service with 'notices' rather than announcements. The Lord's Prayer is recited in every service. There is a special little chorus sang at the end of each service that brings them to smile and wish each other a blessing. The Lord's Supper is observed once a month in the morning and once a month in the evening. Another thing that stands out to me is that every verse of the songs is sung. I told them that in the states that there is nothing that feels so left out as the third verse of our hymns. Here every verse is sang whether there is two or twenty verses.
Also on Sunday Carolyn and some of the ladies went to Barrow to see a live streaming of the Moscow Ballet. It was Carolyn's first ballet and she said she enjoyed it, but that it was a bit long. I told the folks at church that she had very little chance to get much culture being married to me.
We had a Member's meeting last night. This is a church business meeting. It was basically just like at home with a report of the last meeting's minutes and a treasure's report. Much like our meetings at Henderson it is very informal and a lot of laughter. I told them the best business meeting is a short business meeting. It lasted an hour and ten minutes. Not bad.
