We did find time to do some exploring. On Friday we went to the northern part of the Lakes District and visited the Castlerigg Stone Circle. It doesn't get the notice that Stonehenge does, but it is still impressive to me. Stone Age people of 4500 years ago hauled those huge stones to that isolated place and arranged them in a near perfect huge circle. There are some photos on this site.
